Game Development Intern

Studio Saffron is looking for a creative and motivated Game Development Intern to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with senior developers and designers to create engaging and innovative games. As part of the development team, you will contribute to game functionality, test features, and optimize gameplay systems, gaining valuable hands-on experience in game development.

This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment, working on real-world projects. This internship lasts up to three months, with the possibility of extension or promotion based on performance.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design and development teams to understand game requirements and specifications.
• Assist in implementing game features, mechanics, and functionality using Unity.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code under the guidance of senior developers.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues to improve game performance.
• Contribute to testing and fine-tuning gameplay elements to meet quality standards.
• Assist in integrating design assets, animations, and audio into the game.
• Maintain version control of source code using tools like Git.
• Participate in team discussions, brainstorming sessions, and peer reviews to enhance project outcomes.
• Document progress, learnings, and changes to share with the team.

Application Requirements:

• Candidates must be based in Karachi, Pakistan.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Unity 2019 or later versions and programming in C#.
• Basic understanding of game development principles, including scripting and animation integration.
• Knowledge of source control systems like Git is a plus.
• A passion for creating games and a willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Additional Information:

• Working Hours: 9am - 6pm, Monday-Friday.
• Stipend: Rs15,000.00 - Rs30,000.00 per month
• Must be based in Karachi, Pakistan, and comfortable commuting to Studio Saffron's office in Defence Phase 6.
• Candidates should have a conversational level of English.
