Role Overview:

As a Cybersecurity Specialist Intern, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security, integrity, and resilience of our e-commerce platform. This is a highly focused and technical role for individuals who understand the complexities of cybersecurity processes and possess the expertise to analyze, implement, and maintain robust security measures. You will work alongside our CTO, Director of Development, and other senior leaders to design and implement advanced security protocols for our systems and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Advanced Security Assessments and Audits

Conduct comprehensive penetration tests and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate security weaknesses across the infrastructure.

Lead threat modeling exercises and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks.

Threat Detection and Incident Management

Establish, configure, and manage advanced threat detection and response systems.

Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with internal teams to ensure swift and effective resolution of security incidents.

Policy Development and Regulatory Compliance

Develop and enforce high-level security policies and frameworks that align with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA).

Ensure all security practices comply with relevant regulations and provide guidance for maintaining compliance.

Security Infrastructure Design

Architect and maintain security solutions such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM systems, and encryption protocols.

Design and implement secure network architectures and access controls to protect sensitive data.

Collaboration and Leadership

Collaborate with developers and operations teams to ensure secure software development and deployment practices.
